The blades tilt open or closed, manually with a crank handle or motorised. Our gearbox takes the blades from fully open to fully closed in one and a half turns, and parks them at any angle in between.

Fully closed, a quality louvre awning is water-resistant: rain is channelled off the blades into the integrated gutter system and away through downpipes, rather than dripping through.

Yes. They're engineered for South African conditions, from highveld storms to the Cape south-easter. In genuinely extreme weather we recommend closing the blades.

Pre-painted, baked aluminium: lightweight, corrosion-resistant and durable, with stainless steel and brass in the gearbox. No rust, no repainting.

Both. Manual systems use a light hand crank; motorised systems work from a remote or wall switch. The gearbox can be motorised later if you change your mind.

They cut heat gain substantially by blocking direct sun while still promoting airflow, so the patio and the rooms behind it run noticeably cooler in summer.

Every awning is measured on site and made to fit, in your choice of 23 pre-painted aluminium colours.

Yes, engineered for rain, hail and UV. Baked aluminium in particular shrugs off the elements, and rainwater is managed through proper gutters and downpipes.

Yes, a finished outdoor entertainment area lifts both kerb appeal and resale value.

Occasional cleaning of the roof and gutters and a periodic check of the supports. Aluminium needs no painting or sealing.
