Shade & privacy on demand
Drop Blinds
Roll them down and the patio becomes a sheltered room; roll them up and it's wide open again. Superior shade and privacy for patios, balconies and verandas in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Imported French acrylic
The material
Fabric that shrugs off South African weather
Our outdoor drop blinds are made from top-quality imported French acrylic, Scotchgarded for extra protection against sun, rain and mildew. The colours stay true season after season, and the fabric drops the temperature on the patio noticeably.
Want to keep the view? We fit an imported, UV-resistant PVC window, a clear panel that lets you close the weather out without closing the outside off.
- Shade and privacy for patios, balconies and verandas
- Clear or tinted PVC panels keep the view and block the wind
- Weather-resistant: built for coastal and highveld conditions alike
Taut in the wind
The mechanism
No flapping, no fighting the wind
Each blind rolls up and down on a top-quality, maintenance-free gearbox and crank handle. The system keeps the blind taut when the south-easter or the highveld gusts arrive, so it doesn't flap around like a loose sail.
Prefer a button to a handle? The same gearbox can be motorised, so the whole patio closes up at the press of a switch.

Planning & pricing
What moves a drop-blind quote
Each blind is cut for its own opening, so the quote is a sum of parts you can see. Four things decide most of it, and the written quote is free.
Number & size of openings
Each opening is measured and made individually: the width and drop of every blind sets the fabric and tube it needs.
Fabric choice
French acrylic canvas for shade and privacy, or clear PVC panels that keep the view and block the weather. Each is priced per square metre.
Operation
Straps, rope-and-pulley or track guidance: the right mechanism depends on the size of the blind and how often you will use it.
Wind exposure
Exposed balconies and coastal sites need heavier fixing detail so the blind stays put in a blow.
- Engineered for South African wind zones: spans, fixings and supports are specified for your site's wind exposure in line with SANS 10160 wind-loading principles. Documentation for commercial and body-corporate projects on request.
- One accountable installer: from measuring to the final screw it's all us, no subcontractors, so the quote you sign is the price you pay.
- Free on-site quote: a consultant measures your space and quotes in writing, with no obligation.
